Use our Fence Builder to generate an accurate parts list from your measurements.
Simple Installation
The clip-in glass system installs in a fraction of the time of traditional methods.
Safe & Compliant
AS1170.1 and AS1926.1 certified – full documentation included.
Three Things to Know
Before You Build
You don't need to figure out post spacing or component counts – the Fence Builder does that for you. All you need to do beforehand is three simple things.
Measure each fence run
Walk your fence line and record the length of each straight section in millimeters. That's it! No post spacing calculations needed - the app does it for you.
Note how posts will be fixed
Decide whether posts will be concreted into the ground, drilled and bolted into a concrete slab or deck, or mounted to an existing structure (like a wall or pole).
Open the Fence Builder
Enter your measurements and select your fixing type. The app automatically calculates post positions, panel sizes, and generates your complete parts list.
PARTS INCLUDED
Posts, glass panels, base plates, clips, and all hardware – delivered to your door.
The Flo Glass clip-in system is designed so that any confident homeowner can complete a professional-quality installation. Follow the steps below, or watch our installation video for a complete walkthrough.
Mark Post Positions
Using a chalk line and tape measure, mark the centre of each post position. Maximum spacing is 3000mm (3m) centre-to-centre.
Install Base Plates
Drill and anchor the base plates using the supplied stainless steel fixings. Use a spirit level to ensure each plate is perfectly plumb.
Set Posts & Clip In Glass
Slide posts into the base plates and tighten. Insert the glass panels into the post channels and secure with the stainless steel clips.
Fit Gates & Hardware
Install gate posts, hinges, and latches. Test the self-closing mechanism before finalising.
Final Inspection
Check all fixings are tight, glass panels are secure, and the fence meets the required height. Download your certification documents.

AS1170.1 Tested
Certified load performance beyond code requirements – handles cyclonic winds and human impact forces up to 5.0kPa.
8mm Tempered Glass
Meets AS1288, the non-splintering safety standard. Tempered for maximum strength and safety.
AS1926.1 Pool Barrier
All pool fencing products comply with the Australian Standard for swimming pool safety barriers.
Form 15 Provided
Signed Form 15 compliance certificate included – hand it to your pool safety inspector or building certifier to complete certification.
Certification Documents
Once your fence is installed, hand the Form 15 to a licensed pool safety inspector (pool fencing) or building certifier (balustrade). They will inspect the installation and issue your Pool Safety Certificate or Form 17 Final Inspection Certificate.

Frequently Asked Questions
No specialist tools are required. A standard drill, spirit level, tape measure, and basic hand tools are all you need. The Flo Glass system is engineered for DIY installation — the unique clip-in design eliminates the need for specialist glazing equipment.
Most sections can be managed by one person, but we recommend two people for lifting and positioning the glass panels safely. Having a second set of hands makes the process faster and reduces the risk of accidental damage to the glass.
The maximum post spacing for Flo Glass is 3000mm (3 metres) centre-to-centre. Typical installations use 1200–1800mm spacing for a balanced look, but the system is engineered to span up to 3m without additional posts. Always confirm your specific layout in the Fence Builder.
Our Fence Builder tool lets you adjust measurements before purchasing. If you've already ordered and need to make changes, contact our support team — in many cases, individual components can be swapped or supplemented without a full re-order.
Once your Flo Glass fence is installed, you need to engage a licensed pool safety inspector (for pool fencing) or a building certifier (for balustrades). Present them with the Flo Glass Form 15 — the Compliance Certificate for Building Design or Specification — which confirms the system has been engineered and tested to the relevant Australian Standards. The inspector will inspect the installation and, if compliant, issue a Pool Safety Certificate (for pools) or Form 17 Final Inspection Certificate (for other fencing). Download the Form 15 from the Certification section of this page.
Pool fencing in Australia must be a minimum of 1200mm in height as measured from the finished ground level. Balustrades on decks and balconies must be a minimum of 1000mm. Always check your local council requirements, as some states or territories may have additional requirements.
Form 15 is the official Queensland Government Compliance Certificate for Building Design or Specification. It is issued by a licensed engineer (RPEQ) and confirms that the Flo Glass system has been designed and tested to comply with the Building Code of Australia and Queensland Development Code. Without it, your certifier cannot sign off on the installation. Flo Glass provides a signed Form 15 — download it from the Certification section of this page and hand it to your pool safety inspector or building certifier before their inspection.
